Hikayat Prang Sabi is a literary work written by An Acehnese cleric and poet hundreds years ago. It has become a phenomenon for the people of Aceh. Like possessing mystical power, this literary work has deeply penetrated the souls of Acehnese fighters. It makes the essential of this Hikayat not just as a literary work, but also as an spirit instigator for the fighters in fighting the invaders.
In this book, this Hikayat Prang Sabi was analyzed in terms of generic structure and lexical features to find out how can this literary work can effected human’s feeling. So it was concluded that there were a number of reasons why the echo of this Hikayat became so huge.
